Hello, this is Hidori 😊

When you travel to Jeju, a night market tour is almost a must.
Sure, famous tourist spots are great—but the real charm of Jeju comes alive in traditional markets filled with local energy.

On this trip, I revisited Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market, and it was the perfect way to wrap up the day.
Great food, easy takeout, and a cozy night-market vibe—ideal for enjoying back at your accommodation.

First Impressions: “Yep, I’m in Jeju.”
The moment you step inside, colorful signs and warm lights hit you with that unmistakable Jeju feeling.
Deeper inside, you’ll find rows of souvenir snacks—tangerine chocolates, peanut sandwiches, tarts, and more.
Many shops offer 1+1 deals, and most gifts are under 20,000 KRW, making them perfect for coworkers or friends.
I grabbed a few, and the reactions were great 🙂

Olle 54 Night Market – The Heart of the Action 🍢
This is why Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market is considered a Jeju night-market essential.
What you’ll find:
- 10+ food stalls
- Shared central seating
- Separate counters for drinks & alcohol
From quick snacks to a full dinner, everything’s covered in one place.
Seating is flexible, trash stations are well organized, and it’s family-friendly too.

Popular Stalls & Street Food
You’ll see a wide variety, including:
- Black pork jeon & kimchi pancakes
- Shrimp dishes
- Jokbal (pig’s feet) bites
- Abalone butter fried rice
- Black pork yakisoba
- Takoyaki
- Ramen
Since night markets are all about variety, we kept it light at first—
black pork pancake + kimchi pancake to warm up.
Delicious… though eating in the cold felt like tasting and sniffling at the same time 😅

Long Lines = Worth Trying?
One stall had a huge line—Jeju black pork rolls.
There’s usually a reason for that, right?
Grabbed one and moved on. No regrets.

Fresh Seafood Takeout 🐟
For something to enjoy back at the hotel, we stopped by Ujeong Fish Center.
- Mackerel sashimi + amberjack (2–3 ppl): 35,000 KRW
- Sweet shrimp sashimi: 10,000 KRW
👉 Total: 45,000 KRW
I’ll be honest—I had low expectations due to a bad past experience elsewhere.
But this one?
👉 Zero fishy smell
👉 Firm, rich, and incredibly fresh
Even for someone who’s picky about raw fish, the mackerel sashimi was outstanding. Highly recommended 👍

Snacks You Shouldn’t Skip 🍬
On the way out, I grabbed:
- Udo peanut oranda – soft, chewy, sweet… a must for anyone with a sweet tooth
- A visually intense stall run by young owners (looked amazing, tasted okay—personal preference!)

Craft Beer Stop 🍺
Totally unplanned, but we spotted beer kegs and walked into Jeju Yaksooteo.

Beer lovers—don’t miss this.
Their “Yeoumul” beer was especially good.
(For reference, I usually love Hoegaarden and Blanc.)

We packed a few beers to go and called it a night.
Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market delivers everything:
- Street food
- Shopping
- Night-market atmosphere
It’s one of those places that captures Jeju’s soul in one visit.
If you’re traveling to Jeju, put this on your list—no hesitation.
